William Harrison

Event Operations Assistant

Born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, William developed a passion for live music during his time at Hampden–Sydney College, where he organized campus events and concerts while leading the College Activities Council. He first came to Richmond in 2024 to work on his family’s cattle farm and soon found his way back into the live music industry. In the summer of 2025, William joined the team supporting Friday Cheers and the Richmond Folk Festival as a runner, working alongside the events team on a variety of productions. He now helps support operations for several of Richmond’s signature events, including Friday Cheers, the Richmond Folk Festival, the 2nd Street Festival, and Dominion Energy Riverrock.

Outside of work, William enjoys fishing the James River, spending time on his family farm,  walking along the Tyler Potterfield Bridge, exploring Richmond’s restaurant scene and playing golf with friends.

  • Favorite Venture Richmond Event: Friday Cheers

  • Favorite Downtown Attraction: Belle Isle

  • Downtown Fun Fact: Tobacco Row was once a global hub for tobacco production, filled with busy warehouses and factories dating back to the late 18th century. Today, these buildings have been transformed into some of the city's most iconic loft apartments.
