Mavis Wynn

In 2023, Mavis celebrated her 25th anniversary at Venture Richmond as the Event Operations Manager. Mavis's journey with Venture Richmond began 30 years ago as a dedicated volunteer for Venture Richmond’s predecessor organization Downtown Presents.

Over the years, she has become a cornerstone of the organization, by utilizing her extensive experience and networking skills to oversee every detail of event operations, from managing volunteers and vendors to coordinating with security and government agencies. Her resourcefulness and focus ensure that Venture Richmond's events continue to thrive and make history.

​

Mavis is not just a master behind the scenes but also a passionate and dedicated community member. She is the proud mother of a Hampton University graduate and remains actively involved in her church and local community. Mavis has not only impacted the positive growth of Richmond through her job duties, but also within her family and friendships outside of work.

​

When she is outside of the office, Mavis enjoys watching college basketball, working out, and indulging in live music. You can find her organizing Friday Cheers concerts, stage managing at the Richmond Jazz Festival, and attending Brunch on the Plaza, among other area events, in her spare time.

Balancing her professional and personal life seamlessly, Mavis brings a wealth of expertise, passion, and dedication to her role at Venture Richmond. Her organizational skills and leadership abilities make her an invaluable asset to the team, ensuring the success of every event she oversees and blesses with her presence.
