RVA Illuminates

Countdown the tree lighting and illumination of the Downtown Richmond skyline when all the lights come ON! Enjoy live performances, food trucks and a little extra sparkle from holiday lights in Richmond, VA. Stay on the Plaza for a FREE showing of the Grinch Movie (2018), sponsored by Venture Richmond.

At 6 PM, City of Richmond Officials, 8News, K-95, Richmond Times Dispatch, 103.7 Your Variety, and several special guests will join us to illuminate the City of Richmond. At 5:58 PM, K-95, 103.7, and 8 News will commence the countdown to turn on the downtown skyline lights. Tune in for the countdown, and as soon as you hear "flip the switch," the lights across downtown will illuminate simultaneously.

• S. 8th Street (both sides) between E. Canal + Cary Streets
• S. 9th Street (West side) between E. Canal + Cary Streets

Street Closures (effective December 1)

• S. 7th Street between E. Byrd + Canal Streets (9 AM-10 PM)
• E. Canal Street between 7th + 9th Streets (2-10 PM)
