Artboard 2

@ The Broad

August 13

6:30-8PM @ The Broad

Join The Broad and The Next Move Program for a conversation across the intellectual and physical ability spectrum with Executive Director, Advocate, Special Educator, and Broad - Elizabeth Redford! Elizabeth will provide the highlights of disability awareness training and review common disabilities, etiquette, and how to be an advocate! You'll also learn more about how businesses can better work with, train, and hire individuals across the ability spectrum.

This discussion is free for Broads and $10 for guests with proceeds going to The Next Move Program to support their programming that creates guided internship experiences for young adults with disabilities.

Accessibility note: Events at The Broad are held on the second or third floor of the building. There are 22 steps from the front door to the 2nd floor, with a railing. There are 5 steps on the landing without a railing followed by 14 steps to the 3rd floor with a railing. There is a freight elevator that can be made available to attendees needing access to the 3rd floor, please email heythere@wethebroad.com 24 hours or more before the event so we can arrange usage! Unfortunately, the restrooms at The Broad are not ADA compliant; the path from the elevator on the 2nd floor to the event space on the 2nd floor may not provide enough space for a wheelchair. Parking at The Broad is available on the street or in paid lots - there is a loading zone immediately outside the building that may be used for drop off and pick up. We are working towards improving accessibility for future events, but if you have any suggestions please let us know! We are here to make space for you
