What better way to celebrate the "luck of the Irish" than to head downtown and enjoy our cobblestone and tree-lined streets, endless outdoor patios and St. Paddy's Day pride! Check out this list of six ways to enjoy your St. Patrick's Day this weekend in the heart of RVA: downtown.

1. 6th Annual St. Patty'O Crawl

Saturday, March 16th at ShipLock Brewing & Southern Railway Taphouse

It's the 6th Annual St. Patty 'O Party (by the way, they know it's "Paddy," but they like a good patio pun)! The celebration will be hosted by Melissa Chase & Jack from 103.7 Play with Southern Railway Taphouse teaming up with ShipLock Brewing to make the party bigger and better than ever! There will be live music from The Austin Ferguson Band, DJ Ty Street, East of Blue Ridge and Zack Artis, with their very own DJ Jay Woods mixing it up inside all day! $1 drink specials start at noon at ShipLock Brewing, but the event is free all day! Doors open at 12:00pm at Shiplock and 11:00pm at Southern Railway Taphouse. Zack Artis will hit the stage from 11:00am-1:00pm. Austin Ferguson Band plays from 1:00-4:00pm. East of Blueridge from 4:00-7:00pm. Both locations will be serving food & beer inside and outside. The event is 21+ only.

2. St. Patrick’s Day Weekend with Rosie’s

Saturday, March 16th & Sunday, March 17th at Rosie Connolly's Pub

Join Rosie Connolly's Pub for their St. Patrick’s Day weekend! With the 17th Street Farmer's Market complete - Rosie's will be bringing their parking lot party out front all weekend. On Saturday, get a front row seat for the Shockoe Bottom Blarney Bash & The Metro Richmond Police Emerald Society Pipes & Drums in their extended patio area. Or, come out Sunday for music by Andy Cleveland & The Sutor’s accompanied by Irish dancer, Alexandra Emerson. Enjoy a weekend party with a pint of Guinness and Rosie Connolly's Pub!

3. Gold Rush - Opening Day at Kabana

Saturday, March 16th at Kabana Rooftop

Kabana's Rooftop Re-opening is finally here! And we've lucked out, because it coincides with their St. Patrick's Day Celebration, Gold Rush. Come celebrate the start of rooftop season in RVA with St. Patrick's Day celebrations sky high! They will have live music from The Forest Hill Trio Band during the day and Jon Jar and DJ Carter Baldwin at night! There will also be green beer and cocktails, food specials, a brand-new spring menu and more! This is an all-ages event until 9 pm. After 9pm, the event is 21+ only.

4. Shockoe Bottom Blarney Bash

Saturday, March 16th at the 17th Street Farmer's Market

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day at downtown's newly renovated 17th Street Farmer's Market! Join the Blarney Bash fun with bands, beers and Irish dancing in the middle of the market. There will be extended patios provided by the restaurants on 17th Street and a moon bounce & play area for kids! After the Bash, you can head over to the official after-party at Ponies & Pints on 18th Street if you feel like keeping the night going!

5. 20th Annual St. Patrick's Day Street Festival

Saturday, March 16th at Siné Irish Pub

Siné Irish Pub invites you to the 20th Annual St. Patrick's Day Street Festival, Saturday March 16th! This celebration will feature 12 hours of live music starting at noon with Nobody's Poet, PowerDaze, The Mashup and DJ Mikealis! There will be five bars to fill all of your St. Patrick's Day needs & food and drink specials featuring traditional Irish and comfort food. This event is rain or shine, because you'll be able to celebrate in the street under tents! Doors open at 10am. Be Irish for the day at Siné Irish Pub!

6. Saint Patrick's Day Celebration

Saturday, March 16th & Sunday, March 17th at Cha Cha's

It's that time of year again! St. Patrick's Day at Cha Cha's, a RVA tradition, is back for two days this year! Saturday's festivities start at 1:00pm and Sunday's start at noon with free brunch until 1pm and a full mimosa and Bloody Mary bar sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka.
