Anedra Bourne

Deputy Executive Director

A Maryland transplant who’s made Richmond her home, Anedra spends her professional and personal time trying to make Richmond’s resources known to many. As Deputy Executive Director at Venture Richmond, Anedra has prioritized building what Richmond means to people, both locally and nationally.

With a focus in marketing and public relations, Anedra has spent her career promoting local and statewide tourism assets. Anedra has extensive experience highlighting these talents within the City of Richmond, the American Civil War Center, the Virginia Tourism Corporation and more.

She has emphasized the need to market growing infrastructure and transportation systems downtown and continues to educate the public on how easy downtown is to access, even without a car. Anedra plans to help advocate for a stronger transit system, more downtown amenities, while also maintaining an abundance of nature preservation and growth.

Known as a serial volunteer, Anedra dedicates time serving on local boards focused on underserved populations of women and children. Those boards include the Capital Trees, Greater Richmond YMCA, and the Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA).

In her free time, Anedra enjoys traveling and spending time playing and dining throughout RVA with her husband and two young children. She has made it a goal to enrich her family in the free history and beautiful scenery that Richmond has to offer.
