Alexander Dahm

As Operations Manager, Alex has dedicated his knowledge and expertise into ensuring the success and growth of Richmond’s downtown Riverfront, Canal Walk, and Riverfront Canal Cruises.

Originally raised along the Potomac, Alex has chosen to establish his family's roots on the banks of the James River where he enjoys taking his boys on adventures, whether it be in the river, climbing the local granite carved over a period of two million years by the James, or biking and hiking the trails.

​

His love for the river shines through the seams of the Riverfront Canal Cruises and the impact they have made on Richmond’s tourism, canal, and downtown environment. Alex loves sharing his enthusiasm for Richmond, its stories and history, with everyone who will listen.

In his free time, he can often be found on the Canal Walk and even occasionally a canal boat working to make Richmond's Riverfront a beautiful and inviting world-class amenity.

• Downtown Fun Fact: The Shockoe neighborhood has the only triple crossing of railroad tracks in the world! The Triple Crossing is a unique railroad intersection where three independently owned railroad lines cross each other at different levels.
