January 16th & 17th

12-4PM @ Shockoe Bottom

Join us on Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, from noon to 4 p.m. for a family-friendly, physically distanced Religious Freedom Day celebration!

Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of the historic Shockoe Bottom neighborhood, exploring the struggles for freedom that helped shape America. Self–serve hot chocolate and tea and a fun eye-spy activity for kids will be available at the First Freedom Center!

The Valentine First Freedom Center in Shockoe Bottom is dedicated to educating about Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom and exploring the evolution of freedom of conscience through the modern day.
